Marie Claire gives the very pretty damsel Sonam Kapoor a new look for the cover page.
The Kapoor girl rises the mercury levels with her bold vintage look on the cover of Marie Claire, June 2011 issue. Donned in a black ruffled dress, covering her assets from the front while she bares the rest, Sonam makes a sensuous picture for the cover.
And it seems Sonam too has fallen in love with herself after seeing the cover. She tweets to Marie Claire, “love the face that there isn’t much post work! Love it!”

Raj Kiran is very much alive…
The ‘Karz’ famed actor Raj Kiran, who went missing from the tinsel ville all these years, was recently traced by friend and co-worker Rishi Kapoor in a mental asylum in Atlanta.
Raj Kiran, known for playing the previous incarnation of the character of Rishi Kapoor in director Subhash Ghai’s film Karz, or who strummed the guitar and with limpid eye expressions crooned the soothing and thought-provoking song “Tum itna jo muskura rahi ho, kya gham hai jisko chhupa rahi ho” in director Mahesh Bhatt’s Arth, has been missing for about a decade now.
Since Raj Kiran has been missing for such a long time, it’s hard to piece together the reasons for his mental decline, but reports suggest the actor is suffering from mental depression, as his near and dear ones including his wife and son had abandoned him.
Last, he was seen driving a cab. After that he just disappeared for many years altogether, and was even presumed dead, but his colleagues Rishi Kapoor and Deepti Naval did not lose hope.
A few weeks back, Naval even posted on her Facebook page: “Looking for a friend from the film world his name is Raj Kiran – we have no news of him – last heard he was driving a cab in NY city if anyone has any clue, please tell . . .”
But it was Rishi Kapoor who showed remarkable gumption on his trip to the US and traced one of Raj Kiran’s brothers and got to know about the actor’s whereabouts. Rishi says he would visit Raj Kiran in Atlanta soon and will try to bring him back to Mumbai so that he can restart his acting career and have a normal life again. Many folks from the film industry hope the same.
Salman opens up to Filmfare Magazine…
Looks like the Bollywood hottie, Salman Khan, is living his single life to the fullest. In the past, he has dated some of the most beautiful women of the industry.
In an interview with Filmfare magazine, Sallu candidly opens up, admitting that he is not a very easy person and he does get difficult. at times, to live with. Talking about his relationships, Salman was all praises for his former girlfriends, “I’ve seen three or four women in my life and they’re very beautiful from the inside and outside. Somehow, it didn’t work out. So, I guess it’s my fault.”
When quizzed whether he is a husband material or not, Salman Khan answers, “Forget husband, I’m not even boyfriend material.”
Currently, Salman’s life revolves around four women in his life, his mother, his two sisters and Reshma Reddy, a professional who handles his ads. Salman is single and is having a blast.

Asin’s golden heart….
Following the footsteps of her senior and co-actor Salman Khan, Asin has become very soft hearted towards the needy. We hear that, Asin, recently helped her maid with Rs 4 lakh to buy a house for herself.
A source who witnessed Asin’s large-heartedness recently said, “Asin’s maid who has been working for her since four to five years wanted to buy a house in Goregaon and the actress had promised her all the help she could, including money. And that she did, giving her as much as four lakh rupees!”
The maid confirmed the news and added, “My ‘memsaab’ is very kind hearted. She not only pays me well but helps me with money whenever I need it for my household expenses or children’s medical aid.”
The very shocked Asin questioned back, “How did you get the news? Who is your source?” Initially the humble actress refused to comment but after a little coaxing she accepted that she does charity regularly. She said, “I keep helping the poor and the needy as and when I can, and that is not a big deal. I do not like to discuss this as I don’t do it for publicity.”
Madhuri Dixit in Satte Pe Satta Uncertain…
Sanjay Dutt’s film, Satte Pe Satta remake has been postponed to 2012. Hence, Madhuri Dixit might not be able play her role in the film. The film shooting was supposed to go on floors by mid June.
According to popular tabloid, since, Sanju plays the role of a bad man in the currently filming Agneepath, his look has totally been changed. In Satte Pe Satta, Dutt reprises Amitabh Bachchan’s headlining role and needs to have normal length hair.
Says a source, “Sanjay Dutt has shaved his hair for a film. He needs to grow it back and for that he needs at least two months. They wanted to start in September-October when Sanjay’s hair is back in place. But by then Madhuri will be shooting for the next season of the reality-show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. So by the time Sanjayji will be ready to shoot Madhuriji’s dates will be unavailable.”
Madhuri also cast a doubt about her participation in the film when she tweeted on May 28:
“No films signed yet, but several under consideration….”
So as of now, Satte Pe Satta is back to not having a female lead… 
Kangna Ranaut imitates Jaya Bachchan’s retro widow look…
Indra Kumar’s next will bring back the retro Bollywood widow. Yes! Double Dhamaal will have Kangna Ranaut play a character inspired by Jaya Bachchan’s role in Sholay.
Says a source from sets, “The quintessential widow form Sholay is back with Kangana in DD.
Inspired by Sholay’s iconic vidhwaah (widow), played by Jaya Bachchan, the director has styled KR in a similar look for one of the scenes in the film.
Instead of wearing normal clothes required for the scene, the director told the stylists to give Kangana an old white saree, just like the ones widows in old films wore.”
Indra Kumar confirms, “It is a spoof a funny scene all in good humor. We are not making fun of or passing derogatory remarks on Jayaji and Sholay.
It’s just that in earlier times all widows were stereotyped. They wore white sarees and would only cook gajar ka halwa and alu parathas for their mothers.
The particular scene, with all the other actors, is a spoof where she is in a widow’s garb with minimal make-up. In the film, she plays a modern, smart and sexy young secretary to Sanjay Dutt.”
Did AR Rahman bribe the Academy officials???
The year 2009 saw the Indian composer A R Rahman win two Oscars in a row on the same night. That was one of the proudest moments for we Indians. But now, Bollywood music director, Esmail Darbar has accused Oscar-winning composer of bribing Academy officials and of stealing compositions.
At a recent press conference in Nagpur, Ismail Darbar went on to say that A R Rahman did not deserve the Oscars for his score in Slumdog Millionaire. Darbar has gone on to claim to a tabloid that the Oscar winning song “Jai Ho!” is not Rahman’s composition but has been stolen by him.
“Rahman is a very good businessman, he knows how to handle his public relations. I will yet again say that he has bought the Oscar,” Darbar was quoted as saying.
“I have proof that Jai Ho is not his. It has been done by someone else. All the big film-makers like Subhash Ghai, Mani Ratnam know about it,” he added.
In response Rahman, who likes to keep a low profile, has politely denied having bought the Oscars.
Salman charged for lighting up in public…
While shooting for his upcoming film Bodyguard in Patiala, Punjab, Bollywood hunky man Salman Khan, has been fined an amount of Rs. 200 for smoking in a public place.
The local district authorities issued the fine after Salman’s photograph was published in a news daily on Saturday. In the photograph, Salman was shown smoking in the Hotel Neemrana where the shooting of the film is going on. The incident happened on Tuesday which also incidentally happened to be World No Tobacco Day. The hotel authorities were also issued a challan.
This is an umpteenth time that Salman Khan has been charged for smoking at a public place. Other actors like Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan have also been fined in the past for lighting up in a public place.
